Trijinx is an unique, action packed match 3 or more Mac game. One difference from other match games is that you are able to turn the game board around during your play and tumble the pieces down to your advantage.

This is a Kristine Kross mystery. Kristine’s father is in danger in Cairo and needs her help in a hurry. Once at the Tomb of Trilops, Kristine must figure out how to enter it to save her dad. This is the Adventure mode, and the play in this match 3 or more small triangles is to keep pieces from hitting the top. A twist in this game is that you are able to rotate the large triangular game board, tumbling the tiny triangles within the larger one. The tiny triangles continue to come down from the top and if you do not hurry and make matches or rotate the board by using the arrow on the screen or use the arrow keys on your keyboard, the tiny triangles will reach the top and the level is over. There are many blocks and obstacles within the board that make things more difficult for your play.

The Arcade mode is timed with many bombs and extras to use to your advantage. The game boards are varied and could be a hexagon shape in addition to triangular. The third mode is the Puzzle, and within Puzzle are 2 different plays: Strategy and Shape Maker. In Strategy the game board is already filled with the tiny triangles and you clear as many 3 or more similar colored pieces as fast as possible because whatever pieces are left on the board the number of remaining items will be subtracted from the obelisk on the left of the screen. You need to avoid the obelisk from reaching the bottom. In Shape Maker you click on as many shapes on the board as possible before your time is up.

Trijinx is a great match game with lots of action created by you rotating the board while making your matches and many different modes of play. There are blocks in the middle of the board that will hinder your progress but obstacles are what makes you want to complete the level even more, right? The graphics are great and the sound effects good. I enjoyed this different match game very much because it was a change of pace from other match plays.  Also the action in rotating the board gave you the feeling of being in control and giving you another chance to beat the level. Give it a spin and see what your think.
