Cooking Dash 3: Thrills and Spills Review
This prequel will take you back to Flo’s teen years, even Mr. Big is young. Cooking Dash 3: Thrills and Spills looks back on the years way before she started her Diner. It all begins at Diner Land where youthful Mr. Big is desperate to turn his losing business around before his father arrives in 10 days. His dream of making his theme park succeed is gone, and he has no one to turn to…….except our teenage Flo. Even when she was a youngster Flo and her hardworking ethics already showed she can do no wrong. Her small stand at the park is the only one that is making money. Mr. Big, not a dummy himself, turns to Flo for help. Her one condition is to hire back some of the part-time teens to help.
You begin your adventure at Jelly Roger’s helped by a younger Grandma who can whip up meals as well or better than any teenager. The play is the familiar Dash format where you drag your customer to a color-coded seat. If you seat the client to the same color seat, you get extra points. You wait until the person reads the menu and decides what she/he may want. It will show up in a bubble overhead. Click on the food, either grandma or you (Flo) will need to prepare it. Once complete click on the food, click on the customer to deliver the meal, and wait for the person to finish eating. After eating the client will look up, you click on the person to collect the money and click again on the empty plate and finally click on the sink to clear the dirty dishes. In addition, you may have to do more steps like flipping the fish while cooking. You continue with this play until the day is complete. The goal for the day is listed at the bottom left of the screen, the number in the middle is your score up to that time, the level and the daily clock is on the right bottom. Each location has a fun and happy
theme like the pirate ship, Deep Dive is the submarine ride, Log Jam, Spooky Shack (you may see a rider in a coffin), and Tree House. Also you will get a variety of customer who have different levels of patience. You can see how happy they are by the number of hearts over their heads. Once they lose their hearts, they will get up and leave in a huff costing you money and tips. This will greatly affect your entire game because lost money can lose you the level. In addition, if you make a mistake on the order, this will cascade into something bigger and you may lose the level.
I find in any of the Dash games, you have to practice to get good at it. There’s always some barrier that can ruin your play, but do it again and maybe again to conquer any level. Once you get into a rhythm life is good. Cooking Dash 3: Thrills and Spills has enough going on to challenge any sim player from their funny cartoon characters to their fun ride through cafes or the “ride-staurants” venues. Try it for a good time. I give it a 4 out of 5 for an exhilarating ride.

Hell’s Kitchen Review
Gordon Ramsey is famous for many things such as his restaurants, books, TV show, his merciless cuts at his underlings, and now he is known in the Mac game world as the reigning king of culinary arts with Hell’s Kitchen. You can make a career in cooking and develop your own restaurant in this sim time management play and on top of all that get constant gibes from Chef Ramsey. If you have what it takes to run a restaurant and put up with Ramsey’s insults, you will have a pleasant day playing this game.
You begin this game as a dishwasher working in Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant and work yourself up to apprentice, junior cook, cook and senior cook if you survive. If you have seen any of his TV shows you know he will be yelling and 
screaming at you at every turn. Being called a donkey is softened by him saying he’s a proud man when you are fast and efficient.
The play begins in greeting the customers at the door by clicking the maitre d’s podium, the customers are seated and a click on the table will give them the menus. After taking their order the waiter will process it to the kitchen. You click 
on the kitchen arrow and you are now the cook. In this section you need to coordinate the cooking of the different dishes so they finish at the same time. There is another arrow back to the dining room area to serve the people.
If you can take the heat of doing all these things and take the chef’s scorns, you may make a great cook and gamer yet and get access to locked levels and recipes. Gordon Ramsey’s recipes are interesting and sound delicious. This is a definite plus for all the cooks out there. The recipes are broken down as Starter (Appetizers), Main Courses, and 
Desserts. Pumpkin Risotto with Roasted Mushrooms, Grapefruit and Blood Orange Terrine with Marmalade Ice Cream are 2 recipes available at the beginning of the game. Can you imagine what you will be able to unlock? After opening these locked recipes, you’ll get yourself a full cookbook with 35 recipes.
If you are not a cook and live in the New York City area, you can go to the London Hotel where his restaurant resides and taste some of these delicious dishes for yourself. Have fun getting contemptuous phrases from the famous Gordon Ramsey and play a fast paced sim Mac game and whip up some mouthwatering meals.
