Everyone here at Macgames.org would like to wish you a happy and healthy new year. 2009 was a good year for many great Mac games, and we are looking forward to reviewing many more games in 2010. We tried to get together the best games list, but couldn't whittle down the list to only a few. The list we did come up with is in no way complete. It is a compilation of some of our favorite games.
The common factors of a really entertaining game were originality, great graphics, interesting story, good sound effects and a fun play. With that in mind, we all agreed that Youda Legend: The Curse of Amsterdam Diamond and Sweetopia met all those items and more. Other nominations were all the Jewel Quest games, Mystery Stories: Island of Hope, Governor of Poker, Universal Boxing, the Big Kahuna games, Star Defenders 3 and 4, Boggle, Westward games, Luxor games, Fishdom games, Atomic Cannon, Pixie, Crystal Cave Classic, MacPinball, Bob the Builder, Bionic Heart, Wandering Willow and, of course, our featured games Zen stones, Simply Solitaire and Smashing Tennis.
On our staff are many different types of gamers with strong, differing opinions so the list has all kinds of plays for everyone. There are much more games we didn't include only because we could go on and on. If your favorite is not listed, it does not mean we didn't like the Mac game, there's only so much we could put on.
