Chloe’s Dream Resort Review

Get your trigger fingers ready because you will be busy creating the best resorts ever in Mac sim time management game Chloe’s Dream Resort. There will be plenty of activities, services and upgrades to make your game enjoyable.

Chloe is a young, hardworking woman in need of a life change. She goes to work each day from 9 to 5 in a small cubicle in a large corporation reporting to her supervisor day in and day out. She is so exhausted she falls asleep at her desk. In her sleep she dreams about Maya, also young and hardworking, who is running a ski resort. Unfortunately, nightmares have invaded the dreams and scared everyone away. No one can finish the sleep cycle making for a miserable life of constantly being tired. You know how horrible that is so Chloe needs to help Maya make her resorts a successful one.

Begin your game by clicking on the guests at the top left of the screen and drag them to their desired needs. You’ll see it in a bubble over their heads. He/she may want to check in so click on the person and drag the guest to the door of the room. When someone has checked into a room a sign will be over the doorknob so you do not put another guest in the same room. The guest will indicate what activity he/she wants to participate in or what beverage or food he/she may want to eat. You drag the guest to different locations and it is up to Chloe to bring food, drinks, newspapers, turn the switch on for the ski lifts, heat up the hot tubs and more. Maya will stay put but will prepare the foods and drinks so when a guest requests soup, click on the food, wait for Maya to prepare it, click on the bowl when it is ready, and then click on the guest.

If that’s all you have to do, it would be boring and not very exciting, but as you know with most time management games, you’ll be getting much, much more. Remember, this is a dream disrupted by nightmares and there are plenty to cause havoc in your game. Nightmares like the snow monster, chain smoking frog will pop up and it’s your job is to keep them at bay by clicking on them. Another problem is when your guests get too cold, they turn into snowmen, funny but does not make your guests happy. The hearts on the guests show their patience level. If they are unhappy waiting, their hearts will decrease and finally will break and you will lose a customer, but more importantly, the money they owe you will also disappear. When you see the cash register over their heads, drag them to the check out desk at the lower left at the ski resort, click on the register to pay.

The money can be used to upgrade your resort, make Chloe work faster and more. There will be mini games you can play to earn supplies to make the resort better. These games will be timed and fast like matching 2 identical items in a concentration game.

There are 5 different types of resort you must complete to get the nightmares out of your dreams with 12 levels in each resort. You can play in environments like snow, surf, dance floors and more. The scenes may be diverse but the game is basically the same in each resort with different scenery. The artwork is colorful and cute with quirky characters. Music does not match the fun and colorful people in the game. The tune is extremely slow for a time management game and can bring your play down.

This game has only one mode of play but has 2 goal levels: the regular goal is given and the expert level for faster players. It’s fairly easy to meet the expert goal level for the first few games, but it does get addictive and more difficult as you progress in the game. The game will take over 5 hours to play for the average gmer. There’s some repetition to the play but it has a lot of funny things added with the nightmares that will keep you involved in this dream. Give it a try and help all those sleepy heads in need of a good night’s rest.

Features of Chloe’s Dream Resort:
-60 Levels of Fun Time Management Play
-Quirky, Colorful Characters
-Mini Games and Challenges

Hotel Dash 2: Lost Luxuries Review

Is the world coming to an end? Flo and Mr. Big working together? Has Flo gone over to the dark side? What is happening to the wonderful world of Dinertown? Hotel Dash 2: Lost Luxuries will take you to a whole new dimension in this fun, time management game series you have learned to love.

If you’ve never played a Dash game, where have you been? This one is the second in a series of hotel time management games. The annual French Fry Festival is deciding which location to have their celebration. It’s now between Dinertown and Donutville, and the competition is intense. Flo is certain Dinertown will win until she speaks to Mr. Big, her former adversary. As mayor he spent all the funds on making the best convention center ever, and there’s no money left to build new hotels to house all the festival participants. Quick thinking Flo with help from her friend, Quinn the wedding consultant, offer to restore all the rundown hotels in town.
Begin by restoring the Two Tree Hotel and providing the best service by meeting all your guests’ needs. There are 2 goals you can meet for each level. It will give you the goal and if you want to earn trophies, try for the expert goals for more points. The game is similar to the first hotel game but with some familiar characters. When guests arrive at your hotel either singly or in multiples, you click on the customers then drag the key to their room. Next you must click on the luggage for Flo to deliver it to the assigned room. There will be requests for room service and putting together or chaining things will gain you more points and save you or Flo time and energy. Keep an eye on the stars next to the people because you need to keep the customers happy or they will lose their hearts and patience. They will leave the hotel causing you to lose money and possibly the level. When more and more guests arrive at the hotel with more requests, you will be as busy as a bee.

At least in this game you do not have to worry about Mr. Big, remember he’s now on your side. However, the evil mayor of Donutville will be after you since he wants the festival in his town. Other obstacles may be puddles and shards you will have to clean up and sleepwalkers you will have to deal with in your job as all around working stiff. Luckily, you will get helps to make your job easier. You can upgrade rooms up to 3 times or stars. A cart will help Flo with her many chores. You can add different items to ease the workload. Some of the items are a mop, cell phone, ice bucket and more. There are more helpful devices to get Flo to move faster. There are ramps, vines, ice slides and magic carpets.

The game will keep your interest by going from one interesting hotel to another. There are the treehouse, submarine, ice palace, and sand hotel. In order to move on you must get stars to restore new parts to the hotels and put together map pieces to continue on your duties.

With 5 different types of hotels with 10 levels each this game will have you playing for hours. The artwork and lively music, as always, are good. The play is not as difficult as some of the other Dash games, and getting that Expert goal is not out of reach. This game may not challenge the hardcore time management gamers, but it is a fun game to play nonetheless. Give it a go and try your hand at hotel management. Get the French Fry Festival to be held at Dinertown!

Magic Farm: Ultimate Flower Review

Mac game Magic Farm: Ultimate Flower is not your ordinary sim time management game. It is much more than that. It is a flower growing management game with a role-playing aspect associated with it, made to accommodate novice or advanced players.

Choose your skill level from Casual or Hardcore modes and begin your journey to find Iris’ parents. The story is familiar but hey, you have to start the expedition somewhere. However, you don’t have enough money to go searching for them. Your old neighbor lets you use his broken down farm to grow flowers and sell them to raise enough revenue to subsidize your trips and hire a detective.

Anyone coming up to you in the foreground of the screen wants to speak to you. Just click on them to see what they have to say. Your initial farm is the old neighbor’s and you can grow different types of flowers. You plant the flowers and wait for it to grow. Click on the flower and it will go into your harvest basket. If you see drops of water, the plants need watering so click on it and watering cans will appear and water your plants. You’ll also need to buy water before the start of a new day. In addition to keeping your flower plants healthy, you must fight off bugs and later monsters to keep them away. Sometimes the bugs will leave extra bonuses around. Click on them to collect. They can be from a drop or more of water, a crown trophy and more. Once you harvest your flowers, click on the basket to either sell individually or make the blossoms into bouquets to sell for more money.

Your quests are listed in a little scroll next to Iris’ picture in the upper left corner. Keeping with the RPG game part of it, you will need to gain experience to increase your skills in farming, pest control, trading and watering. Also there is a trophy room to place all your hard earned achievements in your cozy living room. Later in the game Robin the dragon will help you out.

Magic Farm: Ultimate Flower is a sequel so if you didn’t play the first, this second one is similar with a few new plants so playing either game is good. This game has a lot going for it and even though it’s a bit of a hybrid, the 2 plays are fun to do. The artwork is good and the music lively. One downside of this game is when you travel to different farms, you lose all your goods and must start over again. Help Iris find her parents and enjoy this sim/rpg game.

Features of Magic Farm: Ultimate Flower:
-Great Sim and RPG Game
-Grow Beautiful Flowers, Make Bouquets
-Good Artwork and Music

Garage Inc. Review

The year is 1928, the beginning of the Great Depression. The era of the flappers, Al Capone, Model A cars and Eliot Ness. Only the very rich are doing well with the rest of the population in despair. It sounds like today, but that’s not important; back to the game. For Angelo Marito, his wife and daughter, there’s nowhere to go but up but without any money their American dream will end up in the gutter in Mac sim time management game Garage Inc. unless you can do something about it.

Angelo, a poor immigrant, is trying to make a honest living in Chicago. His dream of owning a garage is not within reach until his cousin Sal offers to front $1000 to start his shop. Reluctant at first, but grateful for the opportunity, Angelo begins working on the many models of cars that are being pumped out of Detroit.

This game is your typical time management game where you must reach your goals within each day to move on to the next level. You begin on Day 1, Monday, December 10, 1928. Your goal for each day is given to you before you start, the time is at the upper left along with the amount of money you make along the way. The game will let you know when you reach your goal and you will continue to fix cars until all are gone. When a car enters the garage, click on it and then click on the parking area outlined, click on Angelo to examine and determine what needs fixing, click on the car again and then the service bay to move the car to make repairs. You click on Angelo or one of his workers (you’ll get them later in the game) to repair the car. Once the repairs have been made the owner of the car will appear to pay for the costs. You must now click on Angelo and then the dollar sign for payment. The car will drive away at this point. Just remember Angelo is the only one who can diagnose the repairs and he is the only one who can collect the money. His workers make repairs. You’ll have a choice of laborers later in the game, and you must decide who you want working on a particular day. The better workers will cost you more for that day.

As in other time management games, you must always keep your customers happy by playing quickly and servicing all their needs. Once they are upset, they will leave without paying you. Your reputation is on the line so you must keep them happy to earn stars.

The story is told through voiced, colorful cartoon cutscenes. Sal shows up one snowy night looking quite beaten up and needs his $1000. Of course, at this point you do not have it but will pay him back as soon as you can get it. It turns out that the Mafia is after Sal for the cash, and they show up for you to do things for them. This will be in the form of mini games. The mini games are a good break from the garage. The main play gets a little monotonous after a few levels. Sometimes the game is hard to click or move an object or character when another task is performing making the play a little slow. This made it a little frustrating.

Overall the artwork is good, the voice acting even better, the music interesting and appropriate for the time period. The problem with this game is the game play. Like most time management game, it is repetitive, but this one gets a little boring with no upgrades to buy. You do change characters when you choose your workers but everything else is the same over and over. Mini games will break up the play a little but not enough to keep you playing the game. If you are new to time management type of games, this may be the one to try, but for experienced gamers, it is not enough. Too bad since the characters are well thought out and fun even though the Mafia is always looming nearby. If you are willing to take on the mob, try this game. I give it a 2.5 out of 5.

Features of Garage Inc.:
-Pay back the Mob!
-Time Management Fun
-Mini Games
-Great Artwork and Music

Farm It Review

When was the last time you played as a young rooster? Maybe a detective, plumber, cat, prince, princess, daughter, son, brother, sister, but a rooster? Well, the world is facing a shortage of chickens and it is up to you to increase the population of these birds in Mac time management game Farm It.

This farm game is not your usual growing flowers or vegetables, fighting pests and drought, but it is you as the youthful rooster getting the hens to lay their eggs for future chickens. Click on a hen and the rooster will either skip rope, swing or share a worm with a hen (euphemism for breeding). You have a goal of how many eggs you need to produce at the top of the screen. It’s not as easy as it seems because as usual you’ll have blocks and obstacles impeding your progress. The hens have different moods, dog will beat you up and the old rooster is not happy with you taking his job. Later in the game you’ll be confronted by a skunk, polecat, fox, traps and puzzles to overcome and solve.

Fortunately for you there will be a lot of bonuses and helps to aid you in your noble quest to populate the world with chickens. The helmet will protect you from your enemies for a few seconds, the worms will make the hens happier and the little blue pill will make the hens lay the eggs faster. Use the exit gates to get away to another area.

You start in Europe and continue on across the world in 3 other locked areas with 2 different seasons to choose from (summer and winter). There’s a lot to do and it does get challenging after only a few levels. The instructions are given as you go along in your journey. The artwork is a cute cartoon form with a hoedown-like, upbeat music. The game gets repetitive and may not keep your interest for that long however. It actually would be ideal for kids if not for the mating ritual. If you’ve already had the “talk” with your child, then it should be okay, but it’s up to you to decide. I give it a 2.5 out 5.

Features of Farm It:
-Original Time Management Game
-Cute Artwork and Fun Music
-2 Seasons
