County Fair Review
There’s at least one county fair in every state in the US and each one has your typical rides, food stands, funhouses, haunted houses, and much, much more. In the Mac game County Fair is your chance to create your own ideal fair and make a profit running it.
Russ Pendleton’s last wish is to see his county fair business thrive, prosper, and make people happy. You are his only known relative who can make this happen in the Mac game County Fair. You will be provided funds from Uncle Russ, and will be assisted by Randal who knows how to run a fair. You need $3,000 to start so you can pay bills. The goals are on the right side of the screen, and the calendar lets you know how long the fair will run and you are off and running. You need to buy your rides (small, medium and large), and you need mechanics to build and maintain the rides. Then there are tabs along the top of the screen to switch from buying rides to hiring employees, food stands and advertising. You need the discount coupons, newspapers, TV ads to attract your guests to your county fair.
If all this is not enough for you, you get constant announcements that the health inspector will be out, the guests are unhappy with the cleanliness or lack of it, there is a security problem at the gate, and the worst one is that you do not have enough power for the rides and you cannot pay for more. When you get such an announcement, you must act quickly by clicking the red alerts to take care of the problem or adjust your needs such as more security officers, less medical staff and always more sanitation workers to alleviate any discomfort or violation at the fair.
All these problems and profits are beautifully graphed and outlined for you in the accounting section. You can quickly access how much you are making and how much you are spending. This game covers everything including awards and prizes you are winning for hiring 10, 20 people and other such winnings. This sim game is so realistic you get stressed out trying to figure out how to keep the fair afloat without going under. Don’t forget to raise your entrance fees for the most cost effective way to raise more funds. With practice and good math you can turn a profit and keep your guests happy with wonderful rides, delicious foods, clean environment, and a safe county fair.
County Fair is very challenging, but well worth the effort you have to put in to learn how to run a successful business. This is your traditional sim time management game in the lines of Roller Coaster Tycoon. Once the rides, food stands, shows and employees are in order and working harmoniously, you see your fair running like a fine tuned machine and your enjoyment and pleasure begins. Work hard and make Uncle Russ happy with his fantastic county fairs.

King’s Smith Review
King’s Smith is a Mac sim time management game about Anya who wants to be the first female blacksmith. Her grandfather consents to teaching her all the tricks of the trade.
This game is simple and straightforward to pick up the play easily. As the blacksmith you must buy rusty, old equipment from the vendor
in the wagon. He will offer many types of wares at different prices. You will be able to tell whether the price is good or not by the thumbs up and down. You don’t need to worry if you turn down a price, another wagon will soon come along. After you buy from the vendor, you place your rusty part on a stone platform or put it in your workplace. If you place it on the stone, it will produce revenue for you. If you
place it in the smithy (the building with the outdoor fireplace), a worker will leave the home and work on your piece. Once completed, you hang your ware either back on the stone platform or to sell at the bottom right. People will come look at your goods and offer money for them. If you like the offer, you can accept payment, but if you turn down an offer, they may come back with a higher price. You will be able to determine if a price is good or not by the thumbs.
Like other sim games, the stats are all on the bottom and you will get audio confirmation for many actions taking place. As the play progresses, more wares will be offered for you to refinish and sell. In addition, you will need to buy raw materials (often goes on sale) and build more buildings (need blueprints) to expand your business. It can get quite busy as you go along, but with a shop with many
upgrades, your work will not hinder you. Once you meet your goals (top left), you go on to the next level. There are more options to choose from like gold swords, more buildings to erect and employees to hire.
I really enjoyed playing this Mac sim game where you can haggle with your vendors and clients for a better price and building your blacksmith business. It was easy to learn and play. The game started off a little slow but once you got into it, it’s very addictive. The cartoon characters and background were entertaining and the music appropriate to the time period. Try being a blacksmith who can be cost effective and take over the entire business for the kingdom.
Features of King’s Smith:
-Haggle with Vendors and Clients
-Sim Time Management
-Blacksmith for the King

Chloe’s Dream Resort Review
Get your trigger fingers ready because you will be busy creating the best resorts ever in Mac sim time management game Chloe’s Dream Resort. There will be plenty of activities, services and upgrades to make your game enjoyable.
Chloe is a young, hardworking woman in need of a life change. She goes to work each day from 9 to 5 in a small cubicle in a large corporation reporting to her supervisor day in and day out. She is so exhausted she falls asleep at her desk. In her sleep she dreams about Maya, also young and hardworking, who is running a ski resort. Unfortunately, nightmares have invaded the dreams and scared everyone away. No one can finish the sleep cycle making for a miserable life of constantly being tired. You know how horrible that is so Chloe needs to help Maya make her resorts a successful one.
Begin your game by clicking on the guests at the top left of the screen and drag them to their desired needs. You’ll see it in a bubble over their heads. He/she may want to check in so click on the person and drag the guest to the door of the room. When someone has checked into a room a sign will be over the doorknob so you do not put another guest in the same room. The guest will indicate what activity he/she wants to participate in or what beverage or food he/she may want to eat. You drag the guest to different locations and it is up to Chloe to bring food, drinks, newspapers, turn the switch on for the ski lifts, heat up the hot tubs and more. Maya will stay put but will prepare the foods and drinks so when a guest requests soup, click on the food, wait for Maya to prepare it, click on the bowl when it is ready, and then click on the guest.
If that’s all you have to do, it would be boring and not very exciting, but as you know with most time management games, you’ll be getting much, much more. Remember,
this is a dream disrupted by nightmares and there are plenty to cause havoc in your game. Nightmares like the snow monster, chain smoking frog will pop up and it’s your job is to keep them at bay by clicking on them. Another problem is when your guests get too cold, they turn into snowmen, funny but does not make your guests happy. The hearts on the guests show their patience level. If they are unhappy waiting, their hearts will decrease and finally will break and you will lose a customer, but more importantly, the money they owe you will also disappear. When you see the cash register over their heads, drag them to the check out desk at the lower left at the ski resort, click on the register to pay.
The money can be used to upgrade your resort, make Chloe work faster and more. There will be mini games you can play to earn supplies to make the resort better. These games will be timed and fast like matching 2 identical items in a concentration game.
There are 5 different types of resort you must complete to get the nightmares out of your dreams with 12 levels in each resort. You can play in environments like snow, surf, dance floors and more. The scenes may be diverse but the game is basically the same in each resort with different scenery. The artwork is colorful and cute with quirky characters. Music does not match the fun and colorful people in the game. The tune is extremely slow for a time management game and can bring your play down.
This game has only one mode of play but has 2 goal levels: the regular goal is given and the expert level for faster players. It’s fairly easy to meet the expert goal level for the first few games, but it does get addictive and more difficult as you progress in the game. The game will take over 5 hours to play for the average gmer. There’s some repetition to the play but it has a lot of funny things added with the nightmares that will keep you involved in this dream. Give it a try and help all those sleepy heads in need of a good night’s rest.
Features of Chloe’s Dream Resort:
-60 Levels of Fun Time Management Play
-Quirky, Colorful Characters
-Mini Games and Challenges

Bob the Builder Can-Do Zoo Review

Bob the Builder is at it again. This time he is building a zoo. Bob the Builder Can-Do Zoo is a series of educational and entertaining children’s basic sim type of game. Bob is a boxy, friendly and encouraging cartoon character who will help
your toddler learn new shapes, colors, patterns, tools and planning. It sounds overwhelming for a 2 year old, but with its simple oral instructions, your curious youngster will have more than a learning experience, but also fun at the same time.
Choose a profile from Scoop the front loader, Roley the rolling truck, and Muck the mixed front loader and truck vehicle. I know one kid who would love to have a garbage truck to choose from the list. This game would be ideal for him. There are 3 modes of play: Free play, Sticker Book and Story. In Free play you decide the game by moving the cursor over the boxes, and it will tell you what the play is all about. You click on one of the many boxes and then click on the difficulty level. One game is to put the tool back in the appropriate toolbox. You match the color and the type of tool. Another play is to return your zoo animal back to their homes. Once again it will match the color of the animal with a
shape and color of the same kind of item. A little more difficult play is to put the blueprints in sequence. This may take some work with the youngest of toddlers, but older 3-4 year olds will be able to master it. A fun play is the find the same tools under the pile of leaves. The leaves will part and separate revealing various tools to choose from. You click on the same tool shown at the top of the screen. Be sure to match the right colors.
A different game is to paint a fence at the zoo in different patterns. Also a similar play is when the truck drives up with piles of supplies and you are to click on the pile that will fit the pattern already on the truck. Bob the Builder is very helpful and always there for you to support moves, and if you should make a mistake he simply says try again. Other great things he’ll say are yes, got it, and nice job. Always simple and to the point.
The Sticker mode is just that. There are stickers at the bottom of the screen that you have won from playing the games. With these stickers you can create a fun and playful scene of your very own. The third mode is Story. It is all the games put together to produce a smooth story about creating a zoo. You will play the same games as the Free Play mode in an orderly fashion beginning with the plans and blueprints.
Bob the Builder Can-Do Zoo is a well thought out great learning and playing experience for young children from 2 to possibly 5 year olds. It all depends on the child and how far along they have developed. All kids are different and they develop at different stages so as a parent you will have to gage the pre-schoolers ability to play this wonderful Mac
game. Once hooked on this colorful, well drawn, and very communicative play, your child will find a new world of learning and fun.
Features of Bob the Builder Can-do Zoo:
-Teaches Creative Problem Solving
-Collect Stickers
-Fun for Children

Simplz Zoo Review
Dual play games are happening more and more. Mac game Simplz Zoo is one of them with its match and sim plays. Its colorful animals
make a welcome addition to any zoo, and it is your job to build the best one available.
Initially you change the name of Seagull Park Zoo to anything you like. Your goal is to make your zoo the number one zoo in the nation. You start at last place or 1000 and work your way up. You buy animal exhibits, concession stands, buildings and more to make your zoo
attractive to your customers. You obtain your money and material by playing match games. If you need help, Carly in the information booth will assist you. Addition money will be made through ticket sales and concession stands.
The sim play is very similar to others that build and create environments. Simplz Zoo is a little different with larger, moving graphics. Not only do you get the animal enclosures, but you get the animals as well. In some cases you will need to buy the denizens. The resources and the stats are listed on the bottom.
The match 3 or more similar items to collect is like other match games but with one exception. In this game you are able to move tokens
diagonally as well as horizontally and vertically. This type of move takes a little practice, but you can quickly master this way of play in no time. The match game will garner you food and supplies for your zoo.
Simplz Zoo unlike other sim plays like Youda Marina or Plan It Green, does not have a time factor to rush you through the building of your zoo. It also is a lot easier to build and follow the instructions than other games. It’s not only great fun for match and sim players, but I
think it will entertain children as well. Additional pluses for this game are the research facilities, animal data and administrative buildings. Your zoo is a modern state-of-the–art center for animals around the world. Make your personal zoo number one.
Features of Simplz Zoo:
-Over 90 Animals
-Personalize Your Zoo
-Great Graphics and Music
